The Texas State Strengthening Project utilizes the strengths of the 1890 and 1862 universities to equip at-risk youth with the knowledge and skills to become self -sufficient through entrepreneurial education while increasing the ability of families to become self-sufficient.
Youth in three diverse communities will experience entrepreneurial curricula in group settings in alternative education, public schools, and informal 4-H projects.
Strategies to be used include training for youth and parents, collaboration building at the local and state level involving business, community, youth, and family resources to expand the State's capacity to address total family resilience.
Collaboration efforts will address effective strategies of youth entrepreneurial education, family and community involvement, and sustain ability. Connectivity will enable all State project, CYFAR, and other counties to benefit from sharing, greater accessibility with Extension and non-Extension resources that foster greater and more effective impact.
